Who we are

Urban Bazaar- at 9th and Judah in the Inner Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco- is a women-owned, “socially conscious” gift shop and plant nursery.

Our focus is on Fair Trade and locally handcrafted jewelry, accessories and home decor items. We also recently started a small succulent nursery in our backyard, “The Succulent Bar”, which is a DIY planting bar. Pick out a pot (locally made & eco-friendly) and a plant from our greenhouse (which is full of an amazing assortment of succulents), and pot it here with our organic dirt & pretty rocks & glass decorations. Take it with you, and leave the mess with us!

Many of our products are made from recycled, re-purposed, or otherwise eco-friendly materials. And we want everything to be affordable! We have a large selection of goods under $30 , so you don’t have to break the bank to purchase one of our unique, world-friendly gifts.

  1. I just want to tell you guys how much I love your store and how glad I am to have you in the Inner Sunset retail community. I have bought many gifts and the recipients are always delighted by their uniqueness, creative flair and socially consciousness.

I wish you the best and hope you stay for a long time to come.

    Yours truly,

  2. I was born and raised in San Francisco, wish you were around then. I am a Sacramento Local now, but your shop looks like a place I want to come visit. and that’s just what I am going to do, next time I am in the City. I’ll share your Shop on my Inspirations Page because, ” I left my Heart in San Francisco”.

    • Hi Elaine,
Thanks for your nice words! We’d love to have you stop by any time you’re in SF. Our “real” website is http://www.urbanbazaarsf.com (this is just our rarely-used blog!) and you can get more information and, if you’d like, do some shopping from our website. Thanks, see you soon!
